Kelly Rowland Charity top for River Island - I hand sewed on the beads around the front of the neckline because the deadline was so short that China couldn't get the whole garment done in time. Half of the work and design that went into this garment was down to me .... any thanks for .... nah, of course not! lol.
Maybe that's why I like doing the Burlesque stuff, people actually know it's me that put it altogether!

More bits I did for River Island last year, saw a girl wearing a khaki version of the bubble hem feather print dress the other day - nice to see people out and about in my stuff!! :) Only just resisted the temptation of running up to her and saying 'I did that!!'

A Taste of Talulah Blue

www.talulahblue.com - Burlesque Underwear and Events

Talulah Blue has been running 2 years now, and the whole idea was sparked just from a pair of nipple tassels!! (not mine, a girl on stage and my cousin instilling the idea in my head that they would be easy to make) before you know it there's feathers and glitter everywhere, my mum is in on the act making hats and garters, I'm being asked to put on shows and set up photo shoots ... so of course, like any mad man, I say yes to all of these projects, never having done any of it before!

Luckily I'm blood
y clever, everything has gone great and I have had SO much fun getting involved with everything, and met some really cool people!! 'Do something that scares you everyday' can't remember who said that, but it's a life changing moto to try!

Venue: The Musician, Clyde Street, Leicester, England - 3 shows a year, we have such a great crowd of people come along, the atmosphere is really good, and everyone shouts and whoops for the dancers.
Bands: The Boners, Rockabilly Band. The Gadjos, Gyspy Jazz, have played at every show, and ease us all in nicely to an eventful night!
Dancers: Sentosa Sparkle, Emerald Ace, Lola Pops, Anna Fur Laxis - We always have a bit of comedy Burlesque, it goes down really well, and even better when you have had a couple of drinks!

May '10 Photo Shoot

I have been asked by Neil Williams to help on a photo shoot (I think I can be arrogant enough to call myself creative director now!) so I've been looking for some inspiration - we'll have two Burlesque models in a hotel room, I really want to go for quite a sleazy black and white look - The Mofo (photographer) get some great shapes with his girls.
If I get time I w
ant to photoshop in some grimy vintage overlays onto the shots to really age them.
Of course we can't ignore the good old favorites like Betty page, this is one of the first pictures I came across when I was looking into Burlesque, and is still one of my favorite shots!

I'll update when the shoot is done in May!! :)
